What a great idea to just ASK for the sale, and to get others to ask for the sale for you! Networking is a skill that I am learning from you. I appreciate your example, and appreciate that you pop over and check my blog and leave me a comment too! It shows that you walk your talk about networking, being genuinely interested in others. It works for me!

http://blog.excellenceart.org

Re: Did You Ask People To Buy Your Book?

Hi Warren...

Andy is a great author -- looking forward to reading his book.

Asking people to buy your book, can be daunting especially when marketing isn't the area you specialise in. My solution has been to talk about my book, to bring it into the conversation somehow... whether it is on the Web via my blog or in face-to-face conversation. I don't directlyly ask people to buy it but rather wet their appetite to want more... and I then direct them to where they can find out more about the book, and hopefully buy it.

Jeanne May
http://www.goalsnaspiration...

Re: Did You Ask People To Buy Your Book?

Thanks to both of you for your kind words.

I'm only just getting warmed up with the book promo. ;-)

Re: Did You Ask People To Buy Your Book?

Hey Warren - I'm a raving fan of Andy Beal too.

I'm certain his new book will be a bestseller... and turn into a classic: *the* handbook for reputation management!! A topic so critical to everyone - from solo businesspeople to the giants.

Andy walks his talk for sure - I'm enjoying watching him create his own buzz. :)
